Washer Disinfector Waters HTM 2030 / HTM 2031
|
Reusable equipment in hospitals is subject to
stringent cleaning procedures using specially formulated chemical
agents to achieve removal of soil and disinfection.
The effectiveness
of the procedures used is verified by periodic testing, both of
the equipment in use and of the final rinse water, where a failure
could lead to renewed contamination of the equipment.
Health Technical Memorandum HTM 2030 includes
the validation and verification of washer-disinfector processes
at individual hospital sites. Eclipse’s laboratories are able to test rinse waters
for compliance with the parameters set out in HTM 2030 (and also
in HTM 2031 – Clean Steam Condensate); the relevant tests
are listed below.
- acidity/alkalinity
- ammonium
- appearance
- calcium and magnesium
- chloride
- electrical conductivity
- heavy metals(total)
- iron
- nitrate
- oxidisable substances
- pH
- phosphate
- residue on evaporation
- silicate
- sulfate
- total dissolved solids
- total hardness
- bacterial endotoxins
